In a rather splendid last minute shuffle, we’ve added Flood Of Red to the Sumo Rock Stage line up!

The Glasgwegian post-hardcore legends will be filling the slot advertised as Millionaires (who are still playing their slot on the main stage) – expect some Alexisonfire-esque riffery from a band who are firm favourites here in Middlesbrough.

Lone Wolf

We’ve just confirmed LONE WOLF to replace Johnny Flynn who sadly had to pull out of his planned appearance on the Cosmos Recordings Stage in the Central. Thankfully, Lone Wolf is a more than able replacement!

Whitby born and Leeds bred, Paul Marshall is Lone Wolf. Influenced by acts such as Tom Waits, Joanna Newsom, Fleet Foxes, Nick Drake, Jeniferever and Nick Cave, Lone Wolf mixes incredible finger picked guitar with luscious heartfelt vocals. Label mate of Midlake, Explosions In The Sky and Beach House on the super cool Bella Union imprint, we’re over the moon to be able to add Lone Wolf to our line up.

Playing only their second ever gig, Toyger are a brilliant math-pop band influenced by the likes of Colour, Toe, Bombay Bicycle Club, And So I Watch You From Afar, LITE, Enemies and Tubelord. Already a firm favourite of BBC Introducing’s Bob Fischer, big things are expected from this bunch in the coming months!

All ages. Strictly no alcohol!

There’ll be a few single use disposable cameras kicking around, so feel free to take some of your own snaps and then hand them in to the bands at the end of the gig. Feel free to film it all on your phone too and upload it to vimeo or youtube or whatever when you get home!

Homegrown changes

Hello.

Unfortunately We’ll All Be Heroes, who were meant to be on the Homegrown Crypt stage at 8pm, have split up.

To replace them, we’ve bumped The Disaster March up to the 8pm slot.

Taking TDM’s 12noon slot will be A Fable For The Curious.

Influenced by the likes of Incubus, Guns and Roses, Metallica, Nirvana, Drowning Pool and Foo Fighters, these Boro rockers unleash a rockin’ racket that’ll be a great way to start your day. So, yeah, A Fable For The Curious – 12noon – Middlesbrough Town Hall Crypt – Sunday 6th June – FREE! – All Ages. Ideal.
